Day 31: October 11, 2008 - Philadelphia Navy Day Regatta
Today we made our way to Philadelphia to watch Jill and the Villanova Women's Crew team compete in the Philadelphia Navy Day Regatta on the Schuykill River. It was a beautiful Autumn day, great for watching the crew races. Today's races were what they call "Chases", when one boat goes after another for time. The races were about 4,000 meter or ~ 2.4 miles, pretty long races for crew. Jill rowed in both a 4 man and 2 man boat race, they looked good from where we were sitting. It was a fun day in Philadelphia!
